Description
This position is to review, recommend and process all donation requests from our internal and external customers and non-profit organizations – including coordinating resources to ensure approved requests are supported as approved. This position also coordinates all community focused events and opportunities, acting as a central contact for the division. This position also assists the Community Relations (CR) manager with managing the manager’s calendar (meetings, events, speaking engagements, travel, etc.) and researches, creates and provides initial analysis on reporting – including gathering the data, ensuring its accuracy and creating summaries to help maximize the efficiency of the department.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- At least 1 year working in a customer-facing role at a Publix store or customer service oriented place of business
- Must have a strong desire to serve others
- Must be willing to travel on occasion and a willingness to work overtime when necessary
- ability to work and communicate effectively with associates at all levels of the organization as well as customers
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency of Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
- ability to create reports and graphs
- accurate computer typing skills (35-45 wpm)
- ability to work independently and productively
- ability to work under deadlines and handle a high volume of work accurately
- ability to handle a variety of tasks/responsibilities
- good organizational skills, detail-oriented
- good judgment/problem-solving skills
- knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- display a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- must have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
- good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and to be a team member)

Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years working in a customer-facing role at a Publix store or customer service oriented place of business
- AA or AS degree in Communications (Public Relations), English or Business preferred
- Bilingual experience

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
