BUSINESS UNIT: TERMINALS Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of 144 terminals serving our customers’ storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products. We have a combined liquids storage capacity of approximately 151 million barrels and handle about 59 million tons of dry bulk materials annually. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate D-9 and D-10 Dozer equipped with concave blade attached across front to gouge out, level, and distribute petroleum coke from storage to re-claimer, from processing unit/pit to storage in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade
- Operate Front End Loader, Skidsteer, Manlift,Track Hoe and Forklift
- Maintain all mobile and stationary equipment by performing preventive maintenance, i.e.: lubricating, cleaning, greasing, adding gear lubricants and other minor maintenance and repairs; document all activity performed
- Assist coworkers and maintenance crew on various jobs
- Understand and comply with Kinder Morgan and Total rules and policies
- Must be willing to work day or night shifts/overtime hours during the week or weekend hours and holidays
- In order to perform essential duties, regular work attendance is required
- Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's driver license and have willingness to use personnel/company vehicle in course of employment
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
- Must obtain and/or meet all requirements to enter foreign trade zones; such as background checks by both the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security, i.e. obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test along with a Hair follicle test.
- Must possess Safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facilities and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locations
- Must be able to complete/pass DISA/ISTC background check and testing for entrance into refinery.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- A minimum of eight months to one year experience in Heavy equipment especially D9 dozers, D10, track hoes, etc.
