Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist works closely with the HR team to provide support to their respective client groups and business leaders. This role is responsible for various aspects of the employee life cycle and will serve as a liaison between the HRBP and employees on various processes.    

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Talent Acquisition/On-boarding: Facilitate new-hire orientation program and provide feedback for continuous improvement to ensure a best-in-class on-boarding experience.  Works with Assoc HR Generalist to ensure accurate new hire records .  Provide data as required to support the requisition process. Facilitate new employee 30/60/90 day check in’s and provided relevant feedback if needed. 25%

·       Offboarding Process: Facilitates employee off boarding process including system entry, exit interviews and providing feedback as needed.   25%

·       Employee interaction: Provide directional support to employees on day-to-day HR-related questions.  Inquiries could including questions regarding payroll, benefits, personal changes and general employee-related matters.   Develop and maintain trust; create successful working relationships where associates are comfortable bringing questions and concerns.  Performs stay interviews providing feedback as needed.  Escalate sensitive and complex issues from the leader and associates to the HRBP while assisting and providing instruction and direction when applicable. Serves as point of contact for employee leaves e.g. FML, Disability, Worker’s Comp, etc.  Maintain open communication with both employee and manager during the leave process. 40%

•   Special projects: May participate in HR related projects and initiatives 10%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum (3 yrs) Human Resources experience preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the HR field desired
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and handles sensitive matters with professionalism
  • Able to work independently and flexibly on a broad variety of responsibilities and projects
  • Strong credibility with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with dynamic internal client groups
  • Able to work in the gray when limited information is available.  Self-starter, ability to multi-task
  • Adapts easily to change
  • Takes initiative, is a problem solver and sees opportunities for improvement as a challenge that can be overcome
  • Able to motivate and empower others to reach organizational goals.  Persuasive when required and influential with indirect influence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Facilitation and training delivery skills desired and a plus
