The IT Enterprise Data & Analytics team is responsible for using Informatica products to develop solutions for the global employee base working on different groups such as Finance, HR, R&D, etc. to define requirements and develop innovative reports; assist Sales and Marketing on world-class product deployments and projects. The team is responsible for meeting business objectives through technical deliverables, designing solutions that are efficient and scalable, communicating effectively across the organization, and quality problem solving, debugging, and production support.

 

Your Opportunity

 

The position is suited for highly motivated and energetic individuals with a desire to work on the Design & Development of Data Quality rules, Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Data Integration & Data Governance solutions using Informatica suite of products like PowerCenter, Data Quality, Axon, Informatica Cloud & Business Intelligence (BI) solutions as part of the Data Analytics team. You will closely interact with customers around the world to define and implement world-class solutions for ensuring high Quality & Governance of data from source to EDW end-to-end. The successful candidate will be a key member of a lean and high impact IT organization who are aligned in several geographically dispersed centers in over 25 countries that support an employee base of over 2,400 people.

Informatica is looking for a talented, dynamic and motivated Senior Data Quality Analyst who will leverage their knowledge and experiences of “all things data” to work with business users to develop world-class solutions based on their Data Quality & Data Governance needs. As a member of the Data Quality & Governance team you will play a significant role in helping Informatica be the global leader in enterprise data management. The position is based in Bangalore, India reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Quality and Governance.

 


 

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Working collaboratively to gather requirements related to Data Quality rules & DQ Measures.
  • Creating detailed design and training documents to enable users and raise awareness about DQ.
  • Using Informatica's DQ tools to design and implement solutions & DQ rules based on business needs.
  • Validating data quality and accuracy as part of building trust in Informatica’s data.
  • Managing business expectations as it relates to scope, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders when creating or modifying DQ requirements documents.
  • Providing feedback to designers & architects on whether data models are fit for purpose.
  • Understanding and translating business needs into logical well integrated data models.
  • Managing and maintaining best in class MDM and RDM data managements platforms.
  • Providing direction and support to business partners in support of DQ goals.
  • Performing code review and making necessary recommendations for improvements.
  • Performing unit and integration testing and ensuring test results are fully documented.
  • Guiding other team members in designing optimal solutions and resolving any code issues.
  • Ensuring all data changes are comprehensively tested and quality assured before release.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to define processes, create policies and enhance systems.
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders to enhance the accuracy of master and reference data.
  • Partnering and collaborating with operational teams to resolve MDM, RDM and DQ issues.
  • Providing consulting and advisory services to application support and project teams.
  • Recommending to business users how to enhance collection, integrity & value of their data.
  • Assisting with quality assurance of data elements by monitoring systems and reports, proposing system and/or process enhancements and participating in testing.
  • Regularly conducting a verification and accuracy process of data to identify problems, and to develop and implement the appropriate changes expeditiously to deal with these issues.
  • Evaluate business data to identify their different characteristics, locating similarities as part of finding ways to integrate for better results.
  • Carrying out data audits to uncover realized and unrealized inconspicuous issues.
  • Flagging anomalies in data processing and consumption, taking measures to address them.
  • Ensuring business terms, measures and KPIs are recorded and communicated.
  • Continuously researching, advising & driving changes that demonstrably improves the data.
  • Staying informed on how Informatica uses its data and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Ensuring that IT services meet and often exceed customer expectations.
  • Demonstrating accountability and see him or herself as responsible for IT meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensuring data can be used by the business to realize its full value and to make better business decisions

 


 

Technical Experience:

 

(Must Have)

·        Defining, implementing, monitoring & continuously improving Data Quality Rules using DQ tools

·        Implementing DQ scorecard, dashboard & trend analysis

·        Must possess knowledge & experience of data modelling best practices

·        Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting

·        Worked in large multi-national environments spanning the globe across time zones

·        Experience working in large data-warehouse and data lake environments

·        Experience working as a liaison between Business, Technical and Functional Leads to establish Data Quality Framework & Data Governance Model

·        Metadata Management systems and processes

·        Experience in Data Stewardship & Data Governance framework

·        Working knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy or Power BI

·        Knowledge of Agile scrum-based software delivery using CI/CD methods

·        Experience with Informatica IDQ, BDQ, Axon or MDM products

·        Experience with SFDC or Oracle ERP

·        Experience with Big Data, Cloudera Hadoop or Microsoft Azure

 

(Good to Have)

·        Experience in Data Visualization, Data science or data mining

·        Experience of JavaScript, Python, Scala or any programming language

·        Experience creating and applying XML or JSON file formats

·        Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)

Your Qualifications:

 

·        Industry recognized engineering, computer science or IT Bachelor level degree

·        5+ years relevant and demonstrable Data Quality experience using DQ tools building complex rule sets

·        5+ years relevant and demonstrable Data Governance experience

·        5+ years of experience in applying master data principles, processes and systems (e.g. customer master, product master and reference data)

·        5+ years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, data science or data mining

·        5+ years demonstrable SQL and DDL experience and knowledge
