Job Description

This position provides sales support to Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs) and their desired lead generation tactic by developing, consulting with the MLO on, and coordinating mortgage business-development opportunities in all communities we serve. The Mortgage Business Development Specialist manages, processes, and administers documentation related to the advancement and success of our Mortgage Production team as they relate to sales support and business development. By stream-lining some administrative aspects of creating / maintaining lead generation and community outreach, the Mortgage Business Development Specialist enables the MLO to drive organizational loan growth by allowing the MLO to focus their efforts more fully on sales production rather than content creation.

Essential Functions:

  • Mortgage Production Sales Support: Content creation and compilation for the purpose of marketing to Realtors via newsletters, MLO's social media pages etc. (coordinate with Marketing dept.). Production tracking, compilation/reporting and distribution to MLO. Subsequent production analysis and summarization for the use of the production manager. Incentive program management tracking. Compilation of market competition product and price comparisons. Research and education surrounding technologies related to retail residential mortgage lending and residential real estate. Assist with product design / feature roll outs. Facilitate MLO advisory board meetings. Develop and maintain procedures surrounding the mortgage loan origination processes, including lead management.
  • Mortgage Production Business Development: Coordinate and promote group events for Realtors. Manage and administer credit trigger programs for the mortgage production group. Manage and administer MLS listing leads program for mortgage production group. Develop content for member education seminars (in-person and on-line) and promotion of events. Coordinate and promotion of member education events (first time borrower classes, etc.). Create, coordinate, and promote Professional Networking groups targeted at the diverse demographics of our communities. Coordinate continuing education classes for Realtors and opportunities to provide other value-adds to the Realtor community. Seek opportunities for MLO to participate in business development activities. Creating proposed deployment timelines and event calendars.
  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Education for this Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Entrepreneurism, or related business discipline

Minimum Work Experience:

  • 2+ years' combined experience with outside sales, business development, real estate sales, real estate lending, marketing, copywriting, or advertising
  • 2+ years' experience with real estate sales or real estate lending preferred


All degrees listed are considered to be "knowledge consistent with?. Each year of equivalent work experience may be exchanged for 1 year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, 4+ years of required accounting experience could be substituted for an associate's degree and 2+ years of work experience.

 Minimum Formal Education for this Position:

  • Knowledge consistent with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or similar field of study.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or similar field of study. preferred

 Technical or Specialized Knowledge/ Skills:

  • Creative and able to adapt development of lead generation tactics to individual MLO preferences while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced written, interpersonal, and group communication skills with the ability to match delivery style to various internal / external audiences.
  • Practical understanding of copyright law / infringement restrictions.
  • Organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to multi- task in an ever-changing environment.
  • Initiative to meet and/or exceed job standards and willingness to take on other tasks that aren't part of their regular job.
  • Display positive, professional disposition/behavior.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to lead by example and be a positive role model to others.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in all aspects of the job.
  • Proficient with computer programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.).
  • (preferred) Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • (preferred) Practical understanding of truth in advertising, fair lending, and truth in lending regulations.
  • (preferred) Working knowledge of 1st mortgage products that may include Conventional, FHA, VA, construction, land and portfolio investment properties loans.

Additional Information

Salary Range for this position: $60,507 to $79,409 (S15)

This position is eligible for our annual corporate bonus program.
