Are you looking for an entrepreneurial organization where you can learn the ropes for your future career? Our team is searching for an Engineering Intern in the aviation industry.

We are a medium-sized team in need of an intern to work alongside our engineering team.  You will gain exposure to engineering aircraft components for both new build and aftermarket maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical equipment for aircraft components.

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents such as component maintenance and quality manuals.

  • Ability to reverse engineer tooling and fixtures design necessary for completing inspection, testing and overhauling of components using error proofing methodologies.

  • Ability to write technical documentation for tooling, fixtures and equipment developed.

  • Assisting drafter in development of testing, repair, and overhaul tooling and fixtures.

  • Contribute to team projects using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and work with a diversity of people at various skill levels.

  • Preferred prior experience working as an Engineer (Mechanical and/or Electrical) a plus.

  • Uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This position will be based in-person out of Tulsa, OK.  You will be the front line of our effort to provide world class Engineering.  You will report to and gain direction from the Engineering Manager.

We Need Your Experience to Include

  • The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher from a four-year college or university.

  • The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • The ability to design workflows and procedures.

  • Extensive experience with developing project plans, coordinating projects, communicating changes and progress, completing projects on time and budget, managing project team activities.

  • Advanced written and oral communications skills.

  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work well within a team and take direction.
