Inpatient Psychiatrists (Adult, Child & Adolescent, and Geriatric)
We seek adult, child, and geriatric psychiatrists in multiple specialties and sub-specialties to join our excellent faculty team at the UTHealth Houston Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC) and the newly opened John S. Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center. Our robust collegial atmosphere fosters collaboration and teamwork! These positions provide exceptional teaching and supervisory opportunities to residents and medical students as a key training site for the McGovern Medical School and soon-to-be-opened UTHealth School of Behavioral Health Sciences, opening in the fall of 2025.
Selected candidates are expected to contribute to the Department’s education, research, and patient care mission and actively participate in teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications:
- M.D. or equivalent degree.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Texas.
- Board Certified or board-eligible in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry, or have completed accredited training in these specialty and subspecialty areas in the United States.
Departmental Preference:
Experience or interest in research and/or education.
Faculty appointments at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank will be offered depending on qualifications and credentials.
