ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Vice President on developing and executing a comprehensive business plan that includes strategies for revenue and profitability
  • Analyze rental fleet data to improve utilization, increases rates and manage fleet needs
  • Documents and updates CAT Rental procedures
  • Sets clear expectations for the branch managers and employees to meet CRS overall
  • Works with Branch Managers on coaching Sales Reps to meet their
  • Work with each Branch Manager in developing a sales strategy for each individual stores
  • Assists Branch Manager with monthly inventory and reconciliation process
  • Leads monthly financial review of the division and
  • Rides with rental sales reps, as needed, to help develop their territory management, sales skills, call penetration and diversity, and developing large projects and
  • Attend quarterly branch sales meetings to discuss key strategies, problem accounts, pricing
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for all CRS employees on systems, processes, product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Ensures consistency across all stores rental counters and promote teamwork
  • Assists Vice President and the Inventory Manager (IM) on annual fleet plan, Cat and allied purchases, and rental barometer reporting.
  • Provide solutions to operational issues to the Vice President when they come up so long term fixes can be implemented.
  • Travel to the various Cat rental stores as often as needed to ensure success utilizing a standardized approach.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises the Branch Managers for select Cat Rental Division locations.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include following organizational policies, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of five year’s rental business and rental products experience. Leadership and teamwork are critical. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean DMV driving report.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range: $100,00 - $130,000 Annually

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
