Job Functions:

  • Schedule all Teller personnel to maintain proper staffing.
  • Assist Tellers with identifying and correcting out-of-balance conditions.
  • Ensure that the department has adequate supplies and equipment to accomplish its functions.
  • Assist customers with account inquiries and discrepancies and handle customer complaints.
  • Perform the duties of a Teller, as needed.
  • Assist with the verification and balancing of the branch, vault/safe, ATM and work documents.
  • Monitor and review the bank's security procedures and control access to the vault.
  • Approve checks for payment that are over the Tellers’ limits within specified authority.
  • Supervise branch proof, Teller recap, and reporting.
  • Train new hires and conduct remedial Teller training as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Job Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must have the ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including copy machine, coin and money counting machines and telephone system.
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills with the ability to exercise good judgment consistent with department guidelines.
  • Good leadership, training and coaching skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship and communication skills.
  • Excellent Math skills.
  • Must be flexible to work different schedules as early as 7:15 am and as late as 6:15 pm, and must be able to support Saturday banking hours as needed.
