The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI’s overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.
Supports the OSI Culinary & Office Teams in the ability to develop bench-top samples and new products for production.
Essential Duties
- Keep Lab in clean, sanitary order
- Wash, sanitize and store various equipment including small wares, kettles, blenders, mixers, grinders
- General Housekeeping for R&D lab and corporate offices including, but not limited to trash removal, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, restroom upkeep, windows, doors, dusting
- Order/ Procure/ Receive/ Document raw material transfers
- Procure raw material transfers from Tipton plant
- Assist with product heat and hold evaluations
- Organize and manage various storage areas; dry storage, freezers, coolers
- Some minimal laundry duties; kitchen towels, smocks, gloves, etc
- Assist R&D team with duties that arise as needed
Experience & Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with production staff, peers, management, and customers at all levels.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Successfully complete position specific training
- Successfully completes all other on the job training
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Education
- High School/Equivalent
Work Environment:
- Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
- Work conditions are typical of an R&D Center.
- Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
