As a member of the Asset Management Team, the position offers a self-starter with analytical and quantitative skills the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment. This person should possess strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. The Analyst will assist the team in analyzing the performance of value-add strategies of a multifamily real estate portfolio and generally provide support to ensure successful execution of the business plans.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide analytical support to the Asset Management Team via effective collaboration between various departments (Accounting, Business Intelligence, Construction, and Operations).
- Perform regular property operations and financial reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze actual pricing performance to proforma/budget and market conditions for revenue optimization.
- Evaluate timeline and returns on investment for interior unit renovation business plans.
- Audit performance of value-add construction projects.
- Review competitive sets to evaluate properties’ market positioning and performance.
- Develop financial models and other analytics tools for Asset Management utilizing Excel and the Company’s proprietary software.
- Prepare financial modeling and other analyses for asset level decision-making.
- Present and communicate results and recommendations.
- Assist the Asset Management Team on annual property budget reviews including capital expenditure plans.
- Conduct hold/sell/refinance analyses and present outcomes of various scenarios.
- Special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance or related field.
- 1-3 years of analytical experience (experience with multifamily assets preferred, not required).
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- General knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Robust motivation to learn and work with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment.
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.
