ABOUT THE POSITION

The Transportation and Land Management Agency (TLMA) has a paid internship opportunity for a Professional Student Intern to join their Survey Division. 

Through this opportunity, the intern will work on Capital improvement projects, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), research, and records management. The in-person student internship position can also be working in the field on a survey crew assisting construction staking, preliminary surveys, topographic surveys, and research. 

The internship offers a flexible work week around academic obligations consisting of approximately 10-15 hours per week. The selected candidate can anticipate the internship to span one year in length.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Under supervision,

assists and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific

profession; through participation, receives supervised work experience in a

specific professional vocation; and performs other related duties as

required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Cumulative Grade Point

Average: 2.5 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official

transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application. 

 

Education: Applicants must be currently

enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a

Bachelor's degree program or preparing to transfer to a

Bachelor's program during the entire duration of the internship.

 

Areas of StudyEngineering, Civil Engineering, Geopsatial Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or similar.

  • Experience in utilizing Land Surveying (college course acceptable)
  • Experience in CADD drafting
