CDL-A Driver – Septic and Pump Truck Operation
Advance Plumbing & Septic of Birmingham, a Liquid Environmental Solutions company, is seeking unrestricted CDL-A Drivers to join our growing team in Hueytown, AL. This is a physically demanding role that involves driving and hands-on septic system cleaning and maintenance. If you’re a team player who values safety and hard work, we want to hear from you!
Job Overview:
- Drive and operate Hydro Jets, Vacuum Trucks, Pump Trucks, Dump Trucks, and Service Vans with manual and automatic transmissions.
- CDL-A license must be unrestricted and include the ability to drive 13-speed, 15-speed, and 18-speed transmissions.
- Work with residential and commercial septic systems, including hard physical labor (excavating by hand to uncover septic tank lids, handling waste, etc.).
- Minimal overnight travel (one night per quarter with volunteers preferred).
- Day shifts with no set hours; expect 40+ hours per week.
- Engage fully in all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Schedule and Pay:
- Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Hours: 40+ hours per week
- Pay: Starting at $25/hour with available overtime
- WEEKLY PAY
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of commercial or military driving experience (Required)
- Valid, unrestricted CDL-A License (Required)
- Experience with 13-speed, 15-speed, and 18-speed transmissions (Required)
- Must be able to drive a 10-speed manual transmission
- Tanker endorsement required by day one of employment
- Vacuum truck experience is a plus
- Medically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle
- Ability to lift 55 lbs or more
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse (Please register here: FMCSA Registration)
