DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in the Philadelphia, PA, Fort Washington, PA, or Allentown, PA office. You will support all aspects of design and plan preparation for a variety of water resource projects. As a key member of our team, you will assist other Project Engineers & Project Managers with tasks to include:

• Preparing construction plans and specifications
• Assisting in all aspects of Water Resource design including Stormwater design, water/sewer design, drainage conveyance system design, E&S control design, and hydraulic studies
• Performing H&H studies using software such HY-8 and HEC-RAS
• Preparing NPDES applications, technical reports, and cost estimates
• Coordinating permitting efforts with various stormwater agencies
• Training/mentoring junior engineers and technicians

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited University
• 5 – 10 years of related experience
• P.E. certificate in PA required
• AutoCAD and MicroStation skills
• Experience in preparation of construction documents, design calculations, permit application, basic reports and other supporting documentation to support civil design
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferences

• Technical background in drainage design, H&H calculations, and stormwater management design.
• PADOT and PWD experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Be versatile and interested in working on a variety of projects supporting the Water Group
• Goal oriented and Quality focused
• Civil 3D and OpenRoads skills

COMPENSATION 

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
