Who we are looking for
As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) on the Corporate Strategy team, you will participate in complex strategy projects, working with senior leaders across the organization. Typical projects could include strategy development, analyzing fintech opportunities for partnerships/acquisitions, market entry or exit, market segmentation, product / customer positioning and profitability, and capital investment decisions.

State Street’s Corporate Strategy team is focused on providing strategic support and insight across State Street’s diverse business lines (e.g., asset management, custody services, data & analytics solutions, FX & treasury) to drive effective decision-making and action by senior management and the Board.
This is a great opportunity to join a very small, high-impact team with direct exposure to State Street’s senior management, Executive Committee, CEO, and the Board. The group has a strong track-record of people migrating from Global Strategy to leadership roles across the firm, and senior management includes many alumni from top management consulting firms.

What you will be responsible for
As an AVP on the Corporate Strategy team you will
- Work closely with Managing Directors, the Head of Corporate Strategy, and senior leadership across our business to identify and analyze key business issues, and develop recommendations to improve performance
- Develop frameworks and other tools to help business leaders structure their problems
- Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative analyses, participating actively in all phases of the project life cycle
- Communicate recommendations to senior management through effective oral and written communication
- Facilitate State Street’s annual strategic planning process, driving the development of the firm’s long-term corporate strategy
- Support ongoing investment portfolio reporting

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s and/or Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
- 5+ years work experience - strategy consulting experience preferred, particularly with exposure to Financial Services
- Experience with Corporate Strategy and/or Consulting
- Analytical experience in financial services preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
