Administrative Manager - 250681 : Graduation & Retention : Oklahoma-Norman-Norman Campus : Full-time Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Work Type: Onsite Salary Range: Targeted salary $16.82/hr based on experience Benefits Provided: Yes Required Attachments: Resume, Cover Letter --- Under the Office of the Provost, Graduation and Persistence Support (GPS) is charged to help undergraduate students work successfully towards degree completion from the University of Oklahoma. We work together with various entities across campus to ensure holistic support for our students. Additionally, GPS supports projects and events tied to graduation on all three OU campuses.
This position will assist the Graduation and Persistence Support team to ensure successful collaboration for campus-wide retention and persistence efforts creating opportunities for student graduation and degree completion.
Specific Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain office files that may be of a confidential nature.
- Schedules various appointments for office personnel and ensures administrative details and completed.
- Receives incoming calls for GPS and refers to appropriate person. Records messages or responds to caller with routine information.
- Provides information regarding location or availability of materials, resources, and services.
- Monitors and orders supplies for the office and completes requisitions.
- Opens, routes, and prepares incoming and outgoing mail.
- Coordinates and oversees the Graduation Gear-Up Event.
- Support special projects or events held within Graduation and Persistence Support Office.
- Performs related duties as assigned to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
--- Required Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED, AND:
- 24 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.
Skills:
- Knowledge of office procedures.
- General office and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Must be detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Ability to multitask, be organized, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
