Edelman is looking for a talented Account Supervisor to help drive purpose-driven advocacy and alliance work on behalf of our largest global health client! This job will afford growth and learning opportunities in patient advocacy, as well as integrated communications, corporate reputation, consumer unbranded disease awareness campaigns, coalition building, and health policy issues. As a key member of the team, you will partner with us and our clients to understand and engage patient advocacy organizations around shared goals.

Responsibilities and Expectations
- Client Service
- Play a major role in the research, planning, and development of comprehensive public relations campaigns.
- Serve as deputy to account leadership on a day-to-day basis and as a primary daily client contact when appropriate.
- Oversee quality and operational performance of projects, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence.
- Work as part of an integrated team and connect with related account teams to provide advocacy updates and ensure advocacy insights are incorporated into relevant plans/projects.
- Help set client program goals and manage against them.
- Elevate problems to senior team members and solicit their counsel when needed but in appropriate measure.
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills to craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, research, recommendations, and other deliverables.
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in advocacy relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, onsite support, client presentations and briefings, etc.
- Demonstrate foundational understanding of current healthcare landscape through a patient access and policy lens, as well as become proficient in relevant therapeutic areas for clients.
- Support client relationship development with patient advocacy groups on an ongoing basis.
- Oversee junior staff’s work products to ensure quality and consistency.
- Ensure performance expectations, career development plan, and S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-based) goals are set and reviewed annually during the formal performance review process for all direct reports.
- Provide ongoing constructive feedback and consistently hold staff accountable for performance, compliance, and ethical business conduct.
- Work with senior staff and HR, when needed, to address under-performance in a timely manner.
- Help mentor, coach, and support team members and ensure you and your staff are constantly developing abilities and skill sets.
- Contribute to new business processes, including research and proposal support.
- Work with account leads to introduce existing clients to relevant and new Edelman capabilities, including resources outside of your own group, to advance their business goals.
- Help evolve and build our firm’s health advocacy capabilities and case studies for continued impact across our roster of clients/prospective clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of core budgeting, invoicing, and forecasting in coordination with senior team leads.
- Record, submit, and approve time, expenses, and POs to the right project codes on a timely basis.
- Effectively work within account budget parameters and deadlines.
- Help team to track and monitor project financials (e.g., budget vs. actual).

Basic Qualifications
- Must have at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare communications, public affairs, and/or advocacy.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an agency setting and, ideally, with pharma and other health clients to advance advocacy, reputation, disease awareness, policy, and/or integrated communications goals.
$68,000 - $96,000 a year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
