Conveyance Engineer, PE - Water-Wastewater
The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is looking for Conveyance Engineer, PE - Water-Wastewater to join our Orlando office. The successful candidate for this opportunity will be responsible for providing technical engineering analysis and design for a variety of infrastructure-related projects, primarily involving the design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems, pipelines, pump stations, and wastewater collection systems. The ideal candidate will be ready to be a part of and grow with a team and have an interest in technical design. Mentoring of more junior staff is expected, along with a desire to learn and grow from more senior engineers and project managers.

Your Role:
- Water/wastewater infrastructure planning and design that includes distribution and transmission mains, wastewater collection, trunk and force main, pumping stations, wells, storage tanks, drainage, as well as rehabilitation of existing infrastructure
- Permitting with local, state and national jurisdictions
- Hydraulic calculations and design
- Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects
- Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines
- Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, complete work working in a design team
- Perform construction support services including reviewing shop drawing submittals, responding to requests for information and evaluating change order requests
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License as Civil or Environmental Engineer in Florida required, or able to obtain within 6 months
- 6+ years of experience in planning and designing water/wastewater/reclaimed water distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities
- Valid Driverโs License with and acceptable driving record
- Background will ideally include project work and process knowledge of water/wastewater facilities projects with municipal, state, and water districts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, word processing, and scheduling programs. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
