Job Title: Pattern Finisher

The Pattern Finisher will be responsible for assisting the Pattern Makers. The Pattern Finisher will gain skills and knowledge of more advanced pattern making and will be an important part of a team that works to solve problems and create new products that promote efficiency and sustainability in the oil and gas industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for finishing of all patterns. Sanding, running fillets, painting patterns, stenciling pattern numbers and making measurements.
- Keeping the Pattern shop clean and neat.
- Basic equipment maintenance (i.e., changing sanding discs, band saw blades, cleaning paint guns and dust collector.)
- Building crates for shipping department.
- Cut and drill flange covers as needed.
- Learn concept of shrink and draft.
- Learn to read simple blueprints.
- Obtain a CSI forklift drivers license.
- Carry out miscellaneous duties as deemed by Foundry Supervision and Pattern Shop Lead Man.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years old
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- One to three months previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position will require to work near moving mechanical parts and be around toxic or caustic chemicals. It may also have to endure outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is loud. This position is in and out of the shop around grinding and handing all day.
