Position Summary

Responsible for the coordination of print jobs for the Digital Printing process.  Releases Host jobs to printer, processes job tickets, and is responsible for all system reports.  Creates host jobs.  Processes job tickets and sorts work by laser printer.  Prioritizes job tickets for stock collation.  Releases hot job and ensures that each printer does not run out of work, through maintenance of the Job Release Check List.  Responsible for all system reports (efficiency, down time log, shift run schedule).  Performs minor maintenance functions as follows:  Replace transfer assist blade; adjust bar-code reader; replace MICR toner bottle; and trouble shoots later printer via diagnostics lot. 

 

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for completing job assignments, planning and scheduling work, making production and/or service-related decisions, and taking action on problems.  Jointly responsible for whole work processes, performing multiple tasks, setting staffing plans and production goals for the current day with other team members.  Provides information to other team members during shift overlap to improve overall plant performance. 

Qualifications

Education & Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent

 

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required

Experience with windows based programs.

Minimum 0-3 years prior printing experience.

Average to above average mechanical reasoning abilities.

Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Able to work in a team environment.

 

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Standing for up to 10 hours a day. Regular kneeling, bending, and stooping. Position may require lifting up to 35 lbs on a regular basis and 70 lbs on occasion. Must be able to work flexible schedule and weekend hours.
