What You’ll Get to Do
The Quality Technician tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain product quality and reliability. This position uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to product standards. It also suggests and recommends changes regarding special requirements, assists in implementing the quality management program, and trains others on quality management. This role reports to the CI or Quality Manager.

Job responsibilities include:
- Investigate external and internal non-conforming products via employee requests or external customer complaints.
- Issue credit and replacement authorizations for defective products utilizing established protocol.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming products.
- Complete routine reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Reports include best practice reports, daily production output, production yields, internal scrap, etc.
- Maintain and disseminate quality information via daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
What We Are Looking For
- Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency.
- Minimum of two years of production and inspection experience with glass or related products.
- Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, prioritize workload, and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and conduct themselves professionally; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Access.
