Position:  We are seeking a temporary Billing Specialist for a six-month position to assist during our busy season with calculating costs and rates for services and goods shipments, preparing and issuing invoices, posting data, and maintaining accurate records.

Priorities:

  • Review documents in order to compute fees and charges due
  • Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
  • Prepare itemized invoices and amounts due for services rendered
  • Keep records of invoices and support documents
  • Prepare reports as needed
  • Answer inquiries regarding billing

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Exposure to billing and/or accounting principles 
  • Exceptional time management and attention to detail
  • Be adaptable, flexible and versatile

The pay range is $21 - 24 per hour. Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Benefits include sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of three years of billing experience and knowledge of billing processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks at the level of importance.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Pay attention to the task at hand and avoid distractions
  • Problem solving skills

Technology Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Competent with Microsoft Teams.
