Description

Summary:

  • Assembly of mechanical housings, systems and hardware for both stand-alone products, products containing printed circuit board assemblies as well as mask and prepare circuit board assemblies for coating.  Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing small  hand tools (powered and manual), machinery and applicable materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
  • Work under a microscope for an extended period.
  • Work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification.
  • Work with small tools for masking small to large components.
  • Work in a coating spray booth while complying PPE requirements.
  • Integrate electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.
  • Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
  • Adhere to all ESD and FOD requirements as well as  material Handling practices.
  • Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components’ Moisture Sensitive Levels (MSL).
  • Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask / follow company procedures / product work instructions.
  • Highly repetitive or routine duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple product lines / customer(s)
  • Comply with detailed work instruction instructions.
  • Works under minimal supervision
  • Previous experience with spray coating and mixing ratios preferred.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1-8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 preferred.
