As a Senior Manager, Operations at RXO, you’ll oversee the P&L and operational performance of a Freight Forwarding site in Laredo, driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Leading a team of Site Leaders, you will manage day-to-day operations, enhance the customer experience and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure seamless service. Additionally, you’ll partner with the sales team to drive business growth and expand Freight Forwarding operations in your region.

 

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction and strong financial performance. Collaborate with operational excellence and leadership teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives across all business processes
  • Manage cross-border logistics by coordinating with both Mexican and U.S. Customs Broker partners to efficiently move customer products to and from Mexico
  • Oversee P&L performance by setting and achieving budgetary goals while identifying opportunities to exceed financial expectations
  • Utilize performance metrics and KPIs to make data-driven decisions, proactively manage financial performance and ensure compliance. Maintain a strong focus on claims management, quality, safety, security and engagement while demonstrating accountability
  • Monitor and audit site performance to uphold RXO’s standards for service, safety and security. Conduct monthly Freight Forwarding site audits, develop action plans and ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs)—including VOC, inventory management, carrier compliance and claims management—are consistently met or exceeded
  • Lead and develop site leadership teams, fostering a culture of accountability, customer service excellence and operational efficiency. Champion the growth and development of Freight Forwarding teams through continuous coaching, training and engagement with the Learning & Development (L&D) team
  • Collaborate with the national sales team to identify and develop new business growth opportunities. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and regional economic factors to enhance strategic decision-making
  • Supervise and manage employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching and employee relations to maintain a high performing, engaged workforce

 

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 5 years of leadership experience in operations, delivery, distribution logistics or facility/warehouse management
  • Proficiency in Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Strong organizational, leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization

 

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) 
  • The ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization in both English and Spanish
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and manage large amounts of data to drive decision-making
  • A strong business acumen, with a proven ability to collaborate and serve as a strategic partner to management teams
