General Description:

Independently conducts routine and non-routine analyses of geological samples. Uses correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.

Specific Job Duties:

• Responsible for weighing samples, cleans test tubes and specimen cups;

• Cleans Weigh Station;

• Routinely handles chemicals under supervision;

• Digests Au Samples under supervision;

• Follows all published Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in regards to analytical methods;

• Prepares sample dilutions, instrument operating solutions and calibration standards;

• Tests and evaluates calibration standards;

• Ensures all available samples that are ready to analyze are accounted for in the lab;

• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong analytical and mechanical skills;

• Quality focused individual;

• Detail oriented;

• Excellent hand eye coordination;

• Willing to learn;

• Team Player.

Please note that ALS Geochemistry operates 24/7 and will require day, afternoon, and graveyard shift work including weekends.

Full time $14.41 per hour
