Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Order Puller/Checker/Shipping Assistant with scanner experience to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately pulling and checking customer orders, scanning inventory, preparing shipments, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and a strong commitment to accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Pulling & Checking:
- Pick and assemble orders based on pick tickets or packing lists using a handheld scanner.
- Verify order accuracy by scanning barcodes and cross-checking item descriptions, quantities, and product codes.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting items for damage or defects before packing.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Scan items before packing to update inventory records and ensure correct shipments.
- Pack and label orders securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments from delivery trucks.
- Process shipping labels and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and report discrepancies.
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including shelving and inventory areas.
- Assist with restocking inventory and tracking stock levels using scanning technology.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
