Essential Functions
• Initiate process design activities including the development, documentation, deployment, and monitoring of critical business processes • Ensure early engagement of key business stakeholders in process definition efforts • Actively collaborate with Functional Area Managers and IT delivery team to identify process improvements associated with inefficiencies and/or new functions not currently performed in daily operations • Apply improvement tools/concepts such as Lean/Six Sigma to ensure process effectiveness and efficiency • Translate business process knowledge into pragmatic solutions in order to implement effective change and realize obtainable results • Ensure the end solution meets current business requirements while allowing scalability for long-term, dynamic growth • Manage the effects of change in the business process to the overall solution through strategic refinements and modifications • Create analysis and design deliverables including detailed functional requirements documentation, story boards • Coordinate and transition the solution analysis/design intent to the IT delivery team while ensuring proper interpretation of the business requirements • Collaborate with project managers to deliver effective, timely results • Participate in creation of business cases to request funding for projects • Ensure the creation of test scripts, user acceptance test sessions, training plans, and training materials are completed for projects • Contribute to testing and implementation efforts while providing keen insight into the user perspective
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelors Degree or educational equivalent. 4 years experience. Strong written and oral communications skills coupled with the ability to work with all levels of IT and business unit management. Solid knowledge of current functionality and Oracle application trends. Ability to apply Oracle ERP systems solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems. Ability to work with outsourced technology partners providing guidance and direction.
Position Summary
Under limited supervision, implements, supports, analyzes and documents components of a minor number of enterprise systems (i.e.. core Finance, Supply Chain, HR or other ERP applications). Provides guidance in IT area of specialization to regional IT groups, while staying aligned with global standards, processes, and vision. Develops and communicates global IT policies and procedures. Gathers business requirements and writes functional specifications for small to medium systems and/or integrations. Provides primary application testing support and trouble-shoots SOX issues. Assists with production problems. Leads small teams on a single project or task at a time. Provides documentation and training during new implementations along with support, testing and trouble-shooting for application issues including filing service request to canned package application providers. Provides functional specifications for modifications and new development of custom software. Liaises with department heads providing direction and guidance for IT applications and infrastructure. Handles special projects, as assigned.
