Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: West Jordan, Utah
Reports To: Sr. Maintenance Manager
Compensation: Market Value / DOE

Overview:

Altaview Concrete, a Summit Materials LLC company, is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the maintenance of the fleet vehicles, shop facilities, plant and related equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform necessary repair functions to equipment to ensure safe and reliable performance.
• Provide timely and effective repairs to equipment to enable units to meet appointment or operational requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on units as scheduled and as needed.
• Responsible for performing major repairs to components.
• Perform necessary tire repairs as needed, airing, replacement, rotations, balance, branding, etc.
• Maintain shop and repair equipment in good clean working order.
• Keep shop and plant property clean and orderly at all times.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
• Provide own tools and containers in order to meet job requirements.
• Complete required paperwork for maintenance performed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by division management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in ready-mix plant maintenance or batch plant operations, required.

• Experience operating loaders for material handling and other plant activities, required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and repair mechanical and structural issues within the plant.
• Experience in welding and cutting operations, preferred
• Ability to fabricate parts and components for plant equipment and infrastructure.
• Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
• Loader experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
