Chemist

Candidate should have at least a PhD in Materials, Polymers, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with higher degrees may also be considered and would be paid commensurately with their degree. Background with resin chemistry development preferable.

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 5 years of experience in a polymer R&D environment is preferred.  The experience should include:

1. Execution of multiple technology developments from ideation, development, scale-up and support in manufacturing

2. Knowledge and experience with resin formulation development, particularly urethane based chemistry

3. Thorough understanding of maintaining safety in a lab environment

4. Ability to present and communicate with a broad audience, including: upper management, scientists, engineers and operators

5. Relevant software skills, which may include: Six Sigma software (JMP/Minitab); advanced Microsoft Office  / spreadsheet / presentation software skills; literature search software (Endnote, SciFinder, ChemFinder Mendeley, Docear, etc.); project management software (Microsoft Project, JIRA etc.)
