Material Handler

The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products. 

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Material Handler who Operates a forklift, makes set ups, maintains clean and organized building, transports finished goods to Building 6, helps with housekeeping.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in making set ups for current and the arriving shift.
• Moves and transports materials products within the plant.
• All materials delivered to B1 production are verified for pre-preg shelf life and core damage.
• Ensure good housekeeping is kept throughout the facility.
• Puts core in oven.
• Helps to prepare the next job for production.
• Cuts core to custom work orders.
• Prepare and stage materials in return location for b6 warehouse
• Enters inventory transaction into computer (manual or through scanner) for all issue, receipt and transfer material movements.
• Operates fork lift truck in a safe manner following all company policies and regulations.
• Must be available to work any shift, over-time and weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Forklift Operator license
• Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Company ERP system – as required.
• Basic PC skills
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
