Our Team

The QA team is responsible for ensuring functionally high quality including performance and scalability of Informatica Products. Engineers in the team are responsible for initiating and developing test cases documents participate in reviewes, run and report issues and automate the cases.

 

Your Opportunity
 
You will participate in the testing effort of enterprise software. He/she will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and automate them using available framework.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking at hiring Software Engineer QA for the CMG team at Informatica who shall be responsible for conducting the functional tests. He/she will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools to increase productivity and efficiency. 

 

 

 Your Responsibilities

 

1. Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
2. Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites
3. Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
4. Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review.
5. Communicate effectively with developers and QA peers and other stakeholders in the QA organization.
6. Execute planned testing tasks and provide timely and accurate analysis of findings
7. Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of problems
8. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and re-prioritize responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems).Deliverable reviews have few actions.
9. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
10. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Able to communicate or present to the whole product team and occasionally across products.  Interacts with and influences other groups on same product and cross product groups.

 

Your qualification

 

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science

1 to 3 years of software testing experience

core java, junit, ant with API testing experience.

Testing experience with eclipse based clients and relational databases

Working experience in *nix environments

Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of QA processes and methodologies

 

Desired Skills

1. Exposure to JAVA is mandatory.
2. Knowledge of Unix OS
3. Knowledge of Informatica is a plus

Experience in QA of products on cloud would be a plus
