Summary
The Bander is part of a production line crew and is responsible for packaging material, identifying material and set ups. This position requires the use of specific tools for the job.
Essential Functions
- Accurate placement of bands and stretch wrap in accordance with proper setup techniques
- Make neat units with the proper number of bands and correct stacking patterns
- Ensure proper placement of unit tags and cover sheets
- Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure unit quantities are correct
- Operate a forklift in a safe manner when necessary
- Operate an overhead crane in a safe manner
- Utilize proper handling procedures to ensure that metal product is not damaged
- Report any non-conforming metal product
- Work safely and always use proper PPE
- Always follow company rules, regulations and procedures
- Additional duties may be assigned by management

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position working Monday thru Friday plus weekends, at least 8 hours per day with additional hours as necessary.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior work experience in the metals industry a plus
- Good mechanical abilities
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
