Position Summary:

Jet Stream Operator

 

  • Responsible for managing print jobs work in priority order, including prioritizing and selecting proper job setup. Jet Stream operators on the Laser Process will box their own work.
  • Responsible for doing minor repairs, autonomous and preventative maintenance, to ensure printer runs effectively.
  • Responsible for completing shift production sheets, including the Jetstream/EMT activity log.
  • Responsible for performing to production standards.
  • Responsible for matching printed work against a proof for alignment, variable text and color.
  • Performs required quality checks; moves work from conveyor and prepares it for bindery. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Team Member Functions

Responsible for completing job assignments, planning and scheduling work, making production and/or service-related decisions, and taking action on problems.  Jointly responsible for whole work processes, performing multiple tasks, setting staffing plans and production goals for the current day with other team members.  Provides information to other team members during shift overlap to improve overall plant performance.

Experience working with computers. 

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Steel-toed boots/shoes are required. Must be flexible and have the ability to work overtime and cover other shifts, sometimes on short notice.  Position frequently interacts with people from natural teams sharing data and/or information.  Performance Excellence qualities such as positive attitude, sense of urgency, enthusiasm, team oriented, commitment to excellence.  Communication is with internal and external customers.  Must have the ability to multitask.  Misc. other tasks as assigned by management, to include shipping and work cell support functions.

Manufacturing work:  exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally; lifting up to 50lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently.  Strength and manual dexterity needed to move objects, must be able to stand for 8-10 hour shift.

Additional Information

Salary: $17.00

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
