 NATURE & SCOPE

 This position will report directly to the Customer Experience/Logistics Supervisor

  • Direct interaction with Supply Chain, Finance, Purchasing, Production Control, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

    • Prepare jobs for production
      • Process job through the ERP system in a timely manner to assure enough lead time to procure materials
      • Review job for accuracy
      • Create department specific job packages
    • Maintain ERP system current and accurate
      • Maintain the integrity of the perpetual inventory
      • Jobs maintained in correct state
      • Collect data related to department metrics
    • Update systems with job status
    • Work with shop personnel to resolve quality issues that arise on jobs released to shop
      • Be the mediator between shop and engineering to get resolution for issues in a timely manner
      • Enter EAR’s and FPY’s into databases as required
  • Performs various other administrative tasks associated with the Production Control function including any/all tasks assigned by the Production Control Supervisor, Customer Experience/Logistics Supervisor, Supply Chain Manager, or the Plant Manager

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Spend time in the factory as necessary to understand product and material flow
  • Provide support to the rest of the Supply Chain team, as needed
  • Collaborate globally with BAC and Amsted Supply Chain teams
  • Train others as appropriate

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may require additional weekday and weekend hours during busy periods to adequately support production requirements and company initiatives.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low in the office environment. However, Eye protection and hearing protection must be worn at all times when on the shop floor. Safety shoes will be required when working in a manufacturing capacity on the shop floor. Good plant safety practices will be required. There may be occasional exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals.
