For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $21 - $29 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location.

What will you do?
- Conducting Quality Inspections: Perform thorough inspections and tests on sub-assemblies and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control Documentation: Maintain and update quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test data, and non-conformance records. Ensure all documentation is accurate, organized, and accessible for reference.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to Assembly Technician 1 - 3, ensuring their professional development and maintaining a high level of competence within the team(s).
- Process Auditing: Conduct internal process audits to assess adherence to quality procedures, process controls, and best practices. Recommend process improvements and monitor their implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the quality assurance department and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Root Cause Analysis: Utilize problem-solving skills and advanced analytical techniques to identify the root causes of quality issues and non-conformances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Supplier Quality Management Support: Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and monitor suppliers' quality performance, supplier audit support, and address quality-related issues with procurement and suppliers.
- New Product Development (NPD) Release: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to approve products for release based on comprehensive quality evaluations and tests.
- Performs additional tasks / projects as required.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and/or standards to confirm product requirements. Compare product to requirements and ensure completion of operation or assembly.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications.
- Identify product imperfections and damage.
- Reject defective parts and record type of defect on part, container of parts or inspection tag as required. Ensure segregation of defective parts or materials.
- Conduct various tests and quality checks on products. Ensure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measure to specifications and within tolerances.
- Operate any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
- Record and maintain test data as required.
- Process data and transaction into computer.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Ensure work area is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Be an advocate for safety. Insist on safe practices throughout the inspection areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to read to set tolerances and work from blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret metal rule.
- Ability to keep precise records and pay close attention to details.
- Computer skills required (i.e Microsoft Word and Excel, Email).
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and apply valid conclusions.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and/or correspondence.
- Strong mathematical skills required, including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
- ISO9001/AS9100 internal auditing experience a plus.
