Experience and Education
High school diploma or GED with some technical background and aptitude is required.  
 
Functional and Technical Skills
  • Able to interact with internal customers in the technical labs as well as the building manager and all levels of the technical management team
  • Will need to obtain a forklift license and also be required to remove and replace any full hazardous waste containers from the 46 dock as needed
  • Successful candidate must be committed to safety and quality processes and 5S
  • Record of good attendance, on-time record and recognized excellent performance
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service with proven abilities in understanding and satisfying customer needs
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • 1-3 years’ experience in production; technical knowledge of the batch building process and lab sample preparation process with coatings and raw materials is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to safely handle 5-gallon pails, 55 gallon drums, tote bins and safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision and willing to work Saturdays when scheduled (approximately one per month).
  • Aptitude and positive attitude to work within the Services Team. Able to perform miscellaneous functions/tasks needed to support the technical community. Helping team members when needed is encouraged and expected.
  • Reasonable computer skills for PC and computer machine interfaces including, but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, with Oracle or SAP a bonus.
