As a member of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) team of State Street Global Advisors, the Internal Conference and Event Manager, AVP will be responsible for developing and leading various strategic and tactical internal events and programs.  In this role, you will be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, global environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.  You will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, with strong ability to prioritize and manage competing initiatives.    

This is a full-time role with 4 days in the office expected per week and 1 day of remote work. This position will be based in Boston with the ability to travel as needed (10-15% of time).

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead and collaborate with internal teams and/or vendors to successfully design, plan and execute on SSGA all-employee strategic internal events. 
  • Accountable for strategic planning, logistics and execution of periodic meetings and events, both on and off site, for SSGA’s Executive Management Group (EMG) 
  • Responsible for all logistical aspects and event coordination for SSGA’s All Employee Meetings and ad-hoc Business Unit events
  • Plan and provide various leadership forums for SSGA’s EMG, such as North America roundtables, “Ask Me Anything” sessions and CEO internal events.
  • Implement and execute on all logistical aspects of board meeting events (e.g., Travel reservations, Conference Rooms, Meals)
  • Maintain strong partnership by collaborating / best practice share with SSGA’s External Events Management, Internal Communications, and Chief Administrative Office teams.
  • Maintain and manage internal event calendar, prioritize, and execute on competing initiatives.
  • Diligently track budgets/spend to ensure events are within designated budget amounts.
  • Accurately and efficiently process expense reimbursements related to events while ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining accurate records.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience developing and project managing large events and programs.
  • Proven ability and expertise to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneously within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong budget oversight and optimization
  • Ability to travel as needed (10-15% time)

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
