Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator provides essential administrative and organizational support to the HR team. This entry-level role assists with onboarding, employee relations, benefits, training & development, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering excellent service to employees.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding:
- Assist in preparing materials and coordinating new hire orientations.
- Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with required documentation.
- Respond to basic inquiries from new employees regarding company procedures and policies.
Employee Relations:
- Act as the first point of contact for general employee questions about HR policies and procedures.
- Support the HR team by documenting employee concerns and escalating issues as necessary.
Benefits Administration:
- Help employees with routine benefit questions, enrollments, and changes.
- Support the annual open enrollment process by organizing materials and scheduling informational sessions.
- Communicate with benefits providers to address basic employee inquiries.
Training & Development:
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of employee training participation.
- Provide logistical support for internal training activities and workshops.
Administrative Duties:
- Organize and maintain accurate HR documentation and records.
- Support the planning and coordination of HR-related meetings and events.
- Generate routine HR reports and assist in data tracking.
HR Projects:
- Participate in HR initiatives such as employee engagement activities, performance review processes, and updating HR documentation.
General:
- Monitor and respond to HR department emails.
- Communicate and coordinate processes related to employee terminations and new hires

Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Up to 1 year of experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within HR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of employment laws and HR practices preferred.
- Internal Applicants Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources
