Your Impact:
Rauland provides hardware and software-based solutions for the Healthcare and Education markets. We are looking for an energetic technician that is comfortable supporting electronic equipment and software applications running in a server environment. The Lead Technical Support Engineer provides post-sales customer support and product testing for Rauland products. You will also configure and troubleshoot Rauland systems and their integrations while training technicians on how to do so on their own
This is a hybrid role based out of our Mt. Prospect, IL office.
What You'll Do:
- Provide post-sales telephone customer support, research, and configure and troubleshoot systems. All support calls are documented in a helpdesk software
- Perform onsite and offsite technical training classes to educate both distributor and end users about Rauland products
- Perform customer onsite troubleshooting of system problems and onsite installation validation exercises to ensure the Rauland systems are preforming optimally
- Engage in customer/distributor conference calls to provide pre-sales and post-sales support around product implementation best practices
- Document Technical Bulletins for common field issues
- This support position includes 24-hour on-call rotation
Do You Have?...
- BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ experience with electronic equipment service/repair or IT professional
- Computer literacy at graphic user interface (GUI) operating system level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of installation practices for hardware and software
- Good troubleshooting skills of electronics and resolve complex problems.
- Good understanding of Ethernet networking and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of Microsoft SQL including basic SQL troubleshooting
- Understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Ability to manage multiple high visibility sites.
- Experience supporting Microsoft OS and Server versions (desired)
- Working knowledge of other IT Enterprise Technology and virtual servers (desired)
- MCSE, MSSQL, Network+ (desired)
