Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil/geotechnical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 0-5 years progressive professional experience.
  • E.I.T. certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to perform drilling and construction inspection for private and public projects.
  • Availability to travel across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, and sometimes nationally.
  • Knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering principles and practices, and engineering software such as gINT, Slide or Slope/W, LPile, RSPile or APile, GRLWEAP, Mathcad, RS2 or Plaxis, etc.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated and interested in working with a team of engineering professionals to provide high-quality technical service for a wide variety of project types.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

 

Other Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or professional work in a related field (i.e., geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, and construction)
  • Master’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or closely aligned degree from an ABET accredited institution is a plus.
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within three to five years of hire is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering standards, design codes, and other applicable state and federal guidelines.
  • Ability to research and compile data, studies, and reports as required by clients, project managers or other disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment to deliver projects of varying complexity or products that exceeds client expectations.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects including structural, geotechnical and/or marine engineering with working knowledge of database programs, GIS, and CAD.
  • The selected candidates should enjoy solving problems, working on multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, applying advanced engineering principles in novel applications, keeping abreast of current technology, and being part of a motivated and highly skilled team. Position will be based in Langhorne, PA office with some periodic travel required.
