Job Description: 

As a Quality Technician you will conduct dimensional inspections and documentation verification of purchased components to ensure compliance with all required quality and performance standards.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducts dimensional inspections of purchased components and raw materials.
  • Performs First Piece inspection reports.
  • Verifies the accuracy of material certificates and test reports from suppliers.
  • Assigns internal heat codes to materials received from suppliers.
  • Performs when required any of the in-process inspections and tests carried out in the assembly process, including positive material Identification tests, hardness tests, paint thickness tests, hydro tests, visual examinations of welds and others as required.
  • Performs when required weld Liquid Penetrant test examinations to level I.
  • Other duties assigned.

 

Experience required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects in products.
  • Must be able to interpret basic blueprints specifications, diagrams, and other written instructions.
  • Strong visual abilities: able to visually identify defects, annual vision exam required.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, hardness testers, optical comparators, thickness testers, XRF analyzers and others.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $50,000
Salary Maximum:  $55,000
