Position Title: Principal People Business Partner

External Description:

Informatica is currently looking for an Principal HR Business Partner with experience developing data-driven applications to join our team in Bangalore, India.

Job Summary:

The Principal HR Business Partner is responsible for building close relationships within the client base to advise and guide on the people aspects of business decisions and to ensure such decisions are aligned with Company culture and practices in order to enhance organizational performance

Your Role:

  • Acts as an HR Business Partner to all employees, managers and leaders in the organization(s) supported.
  • Works closely with HR Business Partners to implement programs, policies and initiatives with employees.
  • Serves as the business partner to various levels, including SVP, to ensure business decisions take into account the people implications and minimize company exposure.
  • Provides strategic advice, counsel and consultative solutions to executives on people management aspects of their business to include driving organizational development, team effectiveness, executing change management strategy and employee engagement solutions.
  • Collaborates and consults on the design and delivery of HR programs with the COEs to deliver effective solutions to the business.
  • Acts as the advocate for leading the talent management and development plans for the business unit with a focus on enhancing the quality of leaders and managers, building skills and capabilities of the workforce and ensuring succession bench strength.
  • Directing, developing and driving business unit’s global workforce plan and human capital strategies by acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the business, not limited to budget, revenue and product and portfolio roadmaps.  Partners with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Finance to ensure a feasible, pro-active workforce plan is in place and well executed.
  • Develops and monitors regular and ad-hoc reports to ensure HR business metrics are quantified and outcome driven. Able to identify trends and proactively recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
  • Guide and coach managers on how to appropriately manage and resolve complex HR issues (e.g., performance management and total rewards).
  • Coach individual managers on increasing management capabilities.
  • Partner with team members throughout the HR organization to communicate and educate on HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to managers on implementation / execution of core HR programs.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and timelines for all HR programs.
  • Leverage best practices and identifies opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Partners with HR Centers of Excellence, and acts as local advisor to employees on HR questions, such as employee data, compensation and benefits issues.
  • Understands the client groups, strategy, challenges, business initiatives and business model.
  • Consults with senior management to influence and facilitate the development of their organizational priorities and related change initiatives.
  • Able to identify trends and proactively recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develops and supports location programs and initiatives, including supporting Informatica’s Culture and Values.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required and 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting VP+ level.
  • Experience supporting teams of 500+ employees.
  • Experience supporting remote workers.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others in an informal or formal setting.
  • Experience in a growing, global software development environment is preferred.
