LOGISTICS/ADMIN ASSISTANT
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Process and distribute mail on a daily basis
- Create, process, and maintain various reports weekly, by period, and quarterly
- Distribute appropriate communication to associates through written correspondence, email, and telephone
- Coordinate internal department communications in a timely manner
- Field calls from divisions on routine corporate Human Resources (HR) policies and systems, and provide guidance and direction to divisions
- Work closely with the Corporate Logistics team to deliver outstanding service and support the programs and initiatives that drive our company's business objectives
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization
- Level 15 � Provide support to department head or supply chain manager
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to adapt to frequent change and meet deadlines
- Excellent telephone skills and etiquette
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good secretarial skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-directed in planning own work and priorities without close supervision
- Level 16 � Provide support to director level
Desired
- Knowledge of Kroger systems (APT, Express HR, Business Objects)
- Secretarial experience providing support to a department/large staff
- Experience within other Kroger family of stores, division or store support
- Experience or working knowledge of HR
