Position Summary:
The Electrical Planner is responsible for managing, scheduling, and coordinating electrical projects and maintenance tasks, ensuring efficiency in labor, material allocation, and equipment usage. The role leverages SAP tools such as SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP PS (Project Systems), and SAP S/4HANA for tracking project progress, procurement, and cost control. The Planner collaborates with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
This position requires a highly organized professional with expertise in electrical systems, SAP proficiency, and strong problem-solving skills to drive operational efficiency and project success.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate electrical projects from concept through completion, ensuring all tasks are executed within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
- Develop electrical layouts and system designs for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Utilize SAP PM, MM, and PS to track project progress, manage materials, and optimize resource allocation.
- Plan and schedule electrical maintenance work to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee procurement and tracking of electrical components using SAP MM, ensuring availability for projects and maintenance work.
- Track and control project costs using SAP, ensuring adherence to financial targets and mitigating budget overruns.
- Monitor electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and industry regulations.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of electrical projects and maintenance tasks.
- Generate reports on project timelines, costs, resource allocation, and maintenance history using SAP analytics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency in electrical planning and project execution.
- Provide training to team members on SAP functionalities related to electrical planning, troubleshooting system issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in electrical planning, maintenance, or project coordination in an industrial or construction setting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PM, MM, PS, or similar modules for project and maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, load calculations, equipment selection, and industry codes.
- Ability to analyze project schedules, identify critical paths, and mitigate potential delays.
- Strong analytical skills to address issues related to electrical planning and execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Strong accuracy in documentation, tracking, and reporting within SAP systems.
