Thank you for your interest in a position with the AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company (Equitable).

The Lead Expense Control Financial Analyst role will support the Expense Control function for the Information Technology department through effective and accurate forecasting, budget management and data summarization in the following ways:

  • Assist and provide direction on the annual budget process for Information Technology department
  • Prepare accurate and timely forecasts of the Information Technology project spend
  • Assist management by providing useful and relevant information related to the expenses of the Information Technology department
  • Continually monitor expenses against available funding
  • Review and analyze cost variances within the Information Technology department
  • Provide leadership when implementing cost saving opportunities within the organization
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes
  • Oversee offshore staff and provide direction as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5 years experience with Accounting, Forecasting, Budgeting and/or Financial Analysis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or MBA
  • Proven verbal communication, written communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and communicate them clearly and effectively
  • Knowledge of IT project financial management a plus
  • Demonstrates analytical skills including understanding of business processes and concepts
  • Possesses the ability to work independently, meet project deadlines and work within a fast-paced, project-driven and team environment
  • Knowledge of MS products (Excel, Word, Access)
