Job Title: Cycle Counter
Job Description:
The responsibilities for this role include weighing, measuring, and checking materials, supplies, and equipment for the purpose of keeping relevant inventory records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
- Perform daily counts of on-hand raw material and finished goods inventory
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
- Maintain product identification and stock ID program.
- Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them.
- Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
- Track and report non-conforming product.
- Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
- Document damaged product.
- Provide feedback to Inventory Control, Purchasing, Production, and other Supply Chain departments regarding availability of raw materials and supplies
- Prepare damage claims for Inventory Control review/approval
- Coordinate disposal of excess or damaged goods
- Serve as Back-Up for Material Handlers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Prior forklift training and experience required
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of computers including Excel, Outlook, ERP, Inventory Control and cycle counting
- Experience reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job requires extensive standing, stooping or bending, lifting, reaching, twisting and turning to load and unload parts and material. Lifting will involve fabricated parts and assemblies weighing anywhere from several pounds to 50 pounds. Parts weighing more than 50 pounds are handled with a hoist or with help from another team member.
PPE: Steel toed safety shoes, Safety glasses with side shields are always required. Other PPE such as hearing protection, gloves, safety goggles, respirators, etc. may be required depending upon the task at hand and the area worked in.
