The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.

 

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Receiving Specialist who can perform all receiving/material department duties, load/unload, locate, and deliver merchandise by using Gill Process Documents (GMS, GOS) to perform material inspection and document review as a qualified QC delegate.

 

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.

 Responsibilities:

  • Perform material and package inspection prior to receiving material; determine whether there is damage that requires further supervisor/buyer inspection. In event of package or product damage, receiver must have driver sign off on Bill of Lading.
  • Unload freight and move material into receiving inspection location.
  • Gather and review P.O. and shipping documents to verify proper shipment specifications.
  • Gather all quality documents and review GMS to determine the necessary receiving inspection requirements that are specified per part number.
  • Communicate with Buyer and Vendor concerning any missing paperwork.
  • Input receiving data and prepare material tags.
  • Collect and forward samples to Quality Control inspector, if further lab analysis is required.
  • Release material from Receiving Inspection after testing and relocate into warehouse/building location from inspection floor hold location. Ensure that tags are properly placed on material.
  • Coordinate with Buyer and Vendor the return or other disposition of any nonconforming material.
  • Research inventory related items in ERP system.
  • Use pick list and stage material for upcoming jobs.
  • Issue and transfer staged material to production and move material back to the warehouse
  • Deliver packages to office personnel and maintenance department.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Other essential duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Acceptable Driving Record and Valid Drivers License
  • Minimum 1 year forklift operating experience
  • Company ERP system – as required.
  • PC knowledge (word processing and spreadsheets)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Acceptable Near and Color Vision test results
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate the company operating procedures and policies.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.
  • Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays.
