JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and responsibilities:

The candidate will work in a dynamic, fast-paced Agile team environment, working closely with business and IT staff across business units and geographies to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Drive technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design and develop large and complex software enhancements and solutions

  • Ensure alignment with Digital Experience strategy and product roadmap

  • Work in a  Agile development team to develop value added services for Alternatives

  • Work closely with the Product Owner and others on requirements analysis, scrum planning, and execution

  • Support production systems to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement of applications supported

  • Provide expert level troubleshooting on large, mission critical client/project implementations.

  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment

  • Adhere to SDLC processes

Education and experience requirement(s):

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 10 years of experience developing enterprise scale applications

Alternate education and experience requirement(s) (if applicable):

  • Master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent field

  • 10+ years’ experience in developing enterprise scale applications and data processing solutions

Special skills, knowledge, or certification and/or licensure required for position (not preferred items):

Total experience above must include the following:

  • 10+ years’ experience in IT developing enterprise applications and data processing solutions

  • Experience with multi-platform, multi database and/or multi language

  • Hands-on with SQL development experience with Oracle, MS-SQL Server

  • Experience in .NET, C#, MS ETL tools and data structures is desired

  • Experience with designing & delivering solutions on Azure or other cloud platforms

  • Experience with event driven architecture, Micro-services, and Serverless development patterns

  • Experience in financial industry working on financial reporting/regulatory projects is a plus

  • Experience leading agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required

Must also have the following:

  • Solid understanding of financial domain.

  • Strong hands on experience with core Java,  multi-threaded programming and Java Software development frameworks like Spring boot and Hibernate.

  • Strong hands on experience in SQL development with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Sybase.

  • Strong hands on experience in ETL tools/services, SSIS, SSRS and Azure data factory.

  • Exposure to messaging services like MQ and Kafka.

  • Experience working with any observability tools chains.

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.

  • Demonstrated prior experience leading, motivating, coaching and developing people and teams.

  • Demonstrated solid interpersonal skills, team-work attitude and drive collaborative initiatives.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $187,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
