Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Compensation: Market Value DOE

 

The Parts Kitting Specialist is responsible for preparing and assembling parts kits for the Crusher Maintenance team at the Sand and Gravel Aggregates Pit. The role ensures that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently by providing the correct tools, parts, and components ahead of time, reducing downtime and streamlining maintenance operations. The Parts Kitting Specialist will work closely with the maintenance team, suppliers, and inventory management to ensure timely delivery and organization of parts.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Parts Organization and Kitting
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies required for crusher maintenance.
  • Work closely with the crusher maintenance team to understand their needs and adjust kits based on repair schedules or unexpected maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the maintenance team with any urgent part requests or breakdowns, ensuring a quick turnaround of parts needed for repairs.
  • Ensure all parts and tools are safely handled, stored, and distributed in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to MSHA/Site Specific safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with maintenance staff and suppliers.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts and materials, as required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Experience in a mining, aggregate, or industrial maintenance environment is a plus.
  • Previous experience in parts kitting, inventory management, or warehouse operations (preferred).
