Essential Functions
Operating a variety of equpiment including forklifts, skid steers, front end loaders. Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment.Adhere to all safety rules and regulations in concurrence with company policies and procedures.Responsible for safety equipment being operated and aspects of the machine such as fueling, greasing, and general equipment maintenance.May be required to prepare location site using heavy equipment - level, clear trees, backfill reserve pits, build ring levee. Additional duties as needed or directed by supervisor and/or manager. Work schedule can be up to 7 days a week with hours extending beyond 8-5. Must pass pre-employment screenings. Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or educational equivalent. Entry level. Strong knowledge of geological theories and limited degree of experience. Strong knowledge and experience with industry specific software (e.g., MSOffice, AutoCAD and MS Project) required. Strong ability to solve complex problems. Strong task and project management skills
Position Summary
Under direct supervision is learning how to operate overhead crane or other heavy equipment. Moves material to and from designated areas. Inspects incoming material and fills out necessary paperwork. Conducts daily inspection of equipment. Follows all safety rules and procedures. Maintains a safe and clean work area. Handles special projects, as assigned.
